Second Biological Law - Biphasicity

The second biological law illustrates the biphasic course of every biological program of nature.

While the third law tells us "who conducts what" and with what function, the second law tells us "how". When the organism reacts for survival, it goes on alert, setting the special biological program in motion. How? In two phases.

All biological programs always develop in two phases.
The first phase begins at the moment the organism reacts (called DHS) and ends at the moment the organism manages to resolve the situation (CL) by exiting the state of alert.
The second phase is that of relaxation and repair (PCL) which brings the organism back to the restoration of normal physiology.

Let's see more clearly with the diagram and in detail:

Normotonia:

it is the natural night/day rhythm, within which the organism in normal physiology regulates the production of hormones such as cortisol, to alternate wakefulness and sleep.
Cortisol increases gradually bringing the organism into sympathetic tonus during the day, while in the evening it decreases to make it enter nocturnal vagotonia.

- First phase of the special physiology program, called

Active Phase

characterized by strong sympathetic tonus.
Starting from the event perceived as dangerous (DHS), we enter the Active Phase of the curve: the organism is in a condition of permanent tension, a state of alert useful for the rapid search for the solution to the problem. In this phase, there is vasoconstriction, cold extremities, difficulty resting due to the difficulty in descending to a level of vagotonia sufficient to relax. In most cases, there are no symptoms that would confirm an illness, as nature requires that all resources be available to quickly exit the conflictual situation in which it finds itself.

- Second phase of the special physiology program, called

Post Conflict Lysis

or solution and repair phase.
It begins following the resolution of the conflict (Conflict Lysis, CL) and is characterized by strong vagotonia and vasodilation.
Tissues begin to repair.
Symptoms such as fevers, pains, inflammations appear, the body is very hot and debilitated, tired: nature now asks for rest to allow the functional restoration of the tissues that have been under stress throughout the Active Phase.

This vagotonic phase is divided into two parts:
the first, called PCL-A (Post Conflict Lysis A), is when the symptoms are stronger, exacerbated by the concentration of fluids retained in edema to accompany repair. Pain resists medication, there is little sweating and only at night, little urination and little drinking.
The second is called PCL-B in which fluids are expelled, symptoms decrease, medications work, tissue scarring begins, appetite returns, there is a lot of urination and sweating, and you already feel better.
The conclusion of PCL-B marks the end of the special physiology program and introduces the return to normotonia.

- Epileptoid Crisis (CE):

it is a very brief phenomenon (from a few seconds to 4 hours, depending on brain conduction) that divides the A and B of the PCL phase. In that fraction of time, it brings the organism back to an acute sympathetic tonus, comparable to a concentrated Active Phase. It occurs automatically and by surprise, as if it were a jolt of the system that rekindles the engines to climb the slope of vagotonia. From there, the restoration of normal functions proceeds.

In theory, the course of the process is exactly as described; in reality, things often go differently: you can find a deeper explanation in the article on "human biphasic curves".

In fact, all diseases that can be found in medical literature can be divided into two categories: "cold" ones, in which the person has cold hands and feet, is in permanent stress, has fixed thoughts, loses weight and has difficulty sleeping; and "hot diseases", characterized by great fatigue, fevers, very hot extremities. The Second Biological Law puts order to these seemingly unrelated phenomena, inserting them into the scheme of the biphasic curve: "cold diseases" correspond to the first phase of the curve (Active Phase), "hot diseases" correspond to the second phase of the curve (PCL).

You can learn to understand the psychic origin of every disease, training yourself in this extraordinary subject accessible to everyone, through the 5LB DEX [currently only in italian] courses, created for this purpose by 5LB Magazine.
